Insight

At the dawn of every New Year you sit down and make your list of things you want to accomplish over the next 12 months. You jot down all the things you would like to see from your business, the things you would like to see happen in your personal life, and also all the possible ideas that you would like to have a new venture.

What you put on your New Years Resolutions list may not be truly what you expect to see happen in your business within the next few months or years down the road.

You could easily become overwhelmed by your list, unless you stay focused on the “why’s” behind it. Stick with the numbered items on your list and remember that they could be an idea that could benefit many people – that way when you look back you can say “that’s why I took the time to come up with this new idea”.

Do not just throw out everything you write and hope that you “should” actually be doing all the list item items by the end of the year. In the business of Internet Marketing there are just as many Internet Marketing tactics that could be employed as any other type of business. Some of them you may very well be better off not to engage in at all if it just seems to overwhelming.

So what is really going to make 2008 different from the previous twelve months?

Of course the biggest and most important area of change is from the inside. My business began three months after my mother passed away and then all things began. Your business situation is the same, change from the inside has to start somewhere!

I could realistically could have continued towards the path I was traveling on my own council, with no outside advice, and be just like every other Internet Marketer before me.

But instead I began to communicate with people and give them a means and a reason to launch their business. I helped launch someone else’s, which leads me to this year and now going into 2009.

So how am I going to keep up the momentum I seem to be in the process of building?

These are the two essential ideas that will insure your marketing success.

1. Test new approaches to marketing

2. Keep check on the approach that you’ve already tried and made it work for you

Let’s break down the two areas we’re talking about.

Let’s start with test and evaluate new Internet Marketing tactics before you commit to them. Possibly testing the new approach will make you more mindful of coming down with excuses as to why something else is better for your business.

How am I going to test whether or not I have found the best way to market my business?

A great way to test whether or not a new strategy will work is to carefully write the ideas that you have in mind as a result of using that tactic.

I Make Money Online (MIG)

Using SMM is a tactic that has worked for me and my team members and is easy to learn. MIG is an acronym that stands for Klein, FDA, instr, and GAT.

Take a look at this writing to see if you can embrace this idea of testing out a new strategy online and in your daily life.

If you’re a student, like I was back when I was in university, you would have already come up with an experiment or two and actually had a minute or two to play around with them. You might have even toyed with putting a mannequin you drew and dressed up like on an alumni board.

Without any real plans or outlined agenda you might be surprised by what you might come up with!

Most of us think of creativity as seeing a problem or any project or solution you’re already working on and then just make it better or restate it in a way that it fits in with what’s going on around you.

Newyears Resolutions

I am truly excited about the changes I’ve learned over the years from the moment I recognize that I didn’t know what I should do for New Year’s, when I looked at my six-year plan soon after a job was secured down the years, and the many ups and downs I’ve been through.

I learned that I needed to stop spending the year waiting for other people to help me reach my goals because I have no time. I want to pay my bills on time, and I want to accomplish all those things that I set for myself.

I hate my life because I don’t enjoy what I do most of the time. I don’t enjoy my job, and I don’t like the way my daily routine has changed.

I’m not living my life the way I’ve always dreamed.
