Your goals may not be attainable. That doesn’t mean that they are unachievable… just not possible for you right now.

If you are making realistic, short term goals and you have the enthusiasm and belief to make them happen, then they are attainable. However, if you set rigid, long term goals with an unrealistic time limit for accomplishment, you probably have self-limiting beliefs working hard to keep you from having your goals.

Self-limiting beliefs can be hard to get rid of before you even begin setting your goals. And, until they become lesshelpful Spain in your life, they will keep trying to prevent you from setting goals and achieving them.

The fear of failure can hold you back. But you need to accept that self-limiting beliefs have been withyouforever and will be with you until you succeed, or accept the fact that they will always be there.

If you harbor self-limiting beliefs, you could repeat the pattern of failureyourself. The use of a well-constructed affirmation is a tried and true method of pastime to help you change your thoughts. You affirm statements that are positive statements about you. For example, like “I am a highly intelligent person.”You repeat your positive affirmations without much problem before your mind begins to accept them as true.

Just programming your mind with self-affirmations about becoming a highly intelligent person is a good start. Then when you work on inducing self-confidence, you have something to work with.

Once you have developed a measure of self-confidence, you will know for sure that it is possible to achieve your goals. When you engage in goal setting, goal setting will begin to happen in your life.

Sometimes we need help in reaching our goals.

You probably have met people who seem OK-as if they were on their way up the steps. But then they wait about to take the last step before they go out to greet the world. They postpone everything until the last possible moment before they embark on their path. Then, it seems as if they are not ready to take the plunge.

Sometimes they may sound like they are striving to reach a goal. But, on the inner level, they may be scared sick to try something. You may hear them say most of the time, “I haven’t even thought about it.”

The truth is that they didn’t think about it when it was first laid out in their mind. The mind can be so easily distracted.

When the procrastination sets in, they start to lose self-confidence. Seeing their self-limiting beliefs and feelings of doubt can make them deeply angry and depressed. Or, they may begin to procrastinate again.

The best, most successful people take action when it is necessary to take action. They develop the frame of mind that they will not be defeated. Once they establish that frame of mind, the quality of their work becomes extremely high. But that honesty must be combined with the power of self-affirmation. They hang on to their vision, with self-affirmations that propel them forward.

It is also important to recognize that changing those self-limiting feelings about your self is a much more difficult process than simply talking about it.

Since the damaging, self-limiting beliefs will remain continuing to sabotage you if not taken very seriously, you need to change your opening statement. Here is the definition of affirmations: I am ____________________.

Instead, we could erase all negative thoughts, of yourself, by dumping all of the self-limification statements from your mind. Then, just one positive statement will quickly replace those doubting, negative thoughts.

Successful people are always successful in their personal life and have a following that never lets up. You can too with affirmations and affirmational thinking.

Stay conscious and focused by creating your own positive mental pictures. Put them on paper, take them to your mind, and beat the negative sea of doubtful thoughts.

Visualize your plans of achieving them. Commit and commit, stay on course, and enjoy the journey.
