How To Increase Your Energy Levels

What is the first thing that happens in the morning when you wake up from your sleep? What happens to your energy levels? For many of us the effect is that we have a bit of an energy crash after a good night’s sleep. I’ll bet you could name at least five people who’ve had the same experience.

When you first wake up you probably feel refreshed and full of energy. You run a few errands before you head to work, maybe watch your children’s homework, or go out for coffee with your partner. Then when you get home you basically nap for an hour with your partner, with food in the kitchen and the dogs up. That’s maybe a good time for everyone. But maybe your night is way too active so you crash at home afterwards.

After eating that lovely breakfast it quickly becomes obvious that you have been gifted with another 24 hours for the day. The next thing you fill your mind is the morning news (if you’re not watching TV). How many millions are dying of starvation in Africa, how many people have lost touch with their children by the time they leave home for work, and how many more millions are starving or suffering with AIDS/ districts on Babel?

Usually you get out of bed looking forward to another glorious day of work, lunch, the kids’ activities, and other colleagues when you get home. In the evening you’ll go off for a fun and relaxing bike ride with your partner (or perhaps the evening you’ll hang out with your other friends too)

You may not know this, but somewhere inside your body you have all sorts of chemicals and hormones that are made and pumped into your system by just thinking about work, family and friends.

Now if you review your day you’ll notice that –

1) Your energy levels have dropped by half,2) Your mood has suddenly changed, and3) The level of mental reserves in your body has suddenly increased.

Does any of this sound familiar?

Now you may be wondering how you can stop being depressed, become more positive or improve your mood. So let’s look at how the following can help your energy levels as you want to live a better life:

If you follow the cycle below then you will be in a 3-way situation. You’ll put yourself in the situation where you are thinking, feeling and behaving normally. Then you’ll change your state, mood and behaviour all of the sudden and you’ll seem completely different. You’ll have higher energy levels and your career and personal relationships will become a lot more satisfying to you.

Here are three tips you can apply today so that you look and feel the way you really want to and enjoy more time doing what you want to.

1. A good field of exercise provides a place where you can work out your body and your emotions. The change of your state of mind, your mood and your physical well-being is noticeable. That’s because change of state and physical exercise release natural endorphins into your system. The release of endorphins helps your body feel calmer.

2. Walking or taking the car a few times a week is an easy way to bring out your emotional reserves. Time for you and for the people you love that you haven’t seen in a while. It’s a quick heater in your resurrection.

3. Soft music is usually said to have a relaxing affect on the body. I believe it is because the music has been designed to trigger the Carl Jung phenomenon. Jung says that when the unconscious and the conscious mind are in conflict, the music always wins. Your unconscious mind will immediately awaken and the conscious mind will continue leisurely to sleep. You will spend your days in a relaxed and energised way rather than stressed out and emotionally draining.

The result of walking, of car driving or of lying down in bed is something you can hardly explain. It will be a relationship of like ones, if you have the right partner for the job and the right and the inspiration to be able to live the successful good life.
