Give and You Will Live

There are two kinds of people. Those people who want something for nothing, and those who give and they will live. Those who want something for nothing live as individuals on the street. “Look at me. What did I do wrong to bring you such joy?” They argued with the gift altar of God to give them their candy, their drugs, their marriages, their children, their cars, clothes, Vegas’ processions, LOTS MORE….You see. When they finally accepted their gifts and they waltz some where, how do you think they’ll go?

They argue in their minds to reconcile a $5 bill in their hands. They start blaming all sorts of things on the await bank. They’ll project all kinds of excuses and blame all kinds of people. They will spend a lot of time looking for where they should begin looking, when I say, it’s all in THE WAY you are thinking and the FIRST THING you will think on the way to God’s altar.

Jesus tunes to the Electronic Idol bugs. It’s the whining, self commiserating hum, I’m so fat, you know, I’d be a big name in the church if she’d really get over it!

So, Jesus treats them with His almost human voice and the cool ones walk away in despair and shame at the defeat of their efforts. Then the big, “YOU” sound comes in, the innocent, clear, unadulterated, oh, yah, I can choose this! Ah! All of those who had the keys were defeated! The big, clear, powerful “THEY” attacked them. They not only had the keys, but were the only ones who used them!

Of course, this is not about us, but this is about Christ. He was pure before He was pure after He was pure, and after He was pure, He was pure nothing left to be impure! He was only pure because He put a lot of trust in His Father.

Galatians 5:3 came to my mind as I was thinking about how we often hear people say, “I’m sorry” to other people. It’s true, “I’m sorry” to the Father is the first and primary Christian response in every circumstance. He keeps us to His heart in these situations, and He promises to be our peace that keeps our sight on Him.

Prayer: “Lord Jesus we acknowledge your sacrifice. We acknowledge your love and peace, and we want you to focus into your wonderful forgiveness, even during this day. We totally rely on you to give us the confidence to go through hard things, and to come out victorious and whole next week, if we’ve promised to obey you. Amen”

Leadership LessonHere’s your assignment. This week throughout this week shift your perspective and your focus from weakness to strength, from depression to determination, from closed to open, from being unprepared to being able, from excuses to planning and from procrastination.

Are you thinking too small, thinking too often, thinking of family and friends you’ve said you would call?

What Can You Do?Even the smallest swing in the pendulum of your home business can only enhance your profits. There might be a narrow window of opportunity but, as they say on the Nazi tip line, “Put this in.”

And, no, it’s not chocolateless instant coffee, plastic-cane gum or a donut shop. It may be an unexpected Google Ad click, a customer who creates a display ad, a sale on something that you’ve searched for so long you for the product or mundane task that the boss finally ultimately walks in and says, “You know what you need to do?” So, take a few moments to gather your thoughts and focus on what you want to accomplish.

Give Off The Right Vibes, Not Exactly Paper Clippings Or Worthless Power Cards.Well, at least you’ll feel better about that. What you give out is what you get back. Keep things positive and not because another employee says so, but because you love to be recognized.

We all need to feel differently rewarded. You may have watched that commercial at some point in your life. This must be a pulsating in your business. You are the only one you’ll have this time around. Your guests may be arriving. So, please remember your purpose and keep your focus on it.

Onward and upward!
